Located at an altitude of 1850 meters in the Hautes-Alpes, Orcières Merlette 1850 is a family-friendly resort perched above the Champsaur valley, on the edge of the Écrins National Park. Its architecture combines buildings from the 1960s with more recent residences, providing ski-in/ski-out access to the majority of accommodations. Benefiting from generous sunlight due to its southern exposure, the resort is accessible in 45 minutes from Gap, which is itself connected by train and highway from Marseille or Grenoble.
The ski area
The ski area extends from 1850 to 2725 meters in altitude, offering 100 km of varied slopes: 9 green, 18 blue, 18 red, and 7 black. It also includes a Fun Zone of 16,000 m² at 2280 m, two boardercrosses, a slalom stadium, and an FIS-certified speed track. The 30 ski lifts, including 3 innovative Télémix®, ensure an efficient flow. With over 120 snow cannons covering 54% of the area, snow is guaranteed throughout the season.
