At SKI CENTER, we favor flat or reverse cambers. These are flexible boards that forgive small edge errors and prevent unnecessary falls. The Pack Snow Découverte Adu. was precisely designed with this in mind: to give you confidence from the very first run.
For your feet, we have banished complicated laces in favor of the BOA system. A simple turn of the dial is all it takes for the boot to fit your morphology. The support is firm, without pressure points, so you can stay on the slopes all day without a second thought. Comfort is key.
Children also have the right to their specific equipment. Our Pack Snow Junior Jun. offers boards adapted to sizes from 95 cm. Learning becomes a game, but a supervised one: wearing a helmet and wrist guards remains the basic rule for a serene progression.
Goofy or Regular?
It is the question that decides everything before heading to the slopes of Orcières. If you do not know your lead foot, we perform a simple push test that instantly reveals your natural profile. Once this detail is settled, our technicians move on to millimeter-perfect adjustments.
The stance width (the stance) and the angle of each foot are adjusted according to your height and comfort. A well-adjusted board allows you to bend your legs naturally and find your balance without straining your joints. A good setup is 50% of the technique already acquired.
In the heart of Orcières with SKI CENTER
No need to carry your equipment for miles. Located in the Galerie Marchande le Chamois, our store is just one meter from the slopes. The Office du Tourisme is 50 meters away and the ESF meeting point is 150 meters away. You step in, you slide.
Technology does not stop at the sale. In our specialized workshop, we use a Reichmann DTS-U PRO sharpener. This machine allows for edge sharpening that is both precise and gentle, guaranteeing smooth and safe curves. And to end the day lightly, leave your boards in our free locker.
Still hesitating between two disciplines? The Multiglisse option at 15 EUR allows you to switch from skiing to snowboarding whenever you like during your stay. We also offer a guarantee against breakage and theft with a very low deductible for peace of mind while sliding.
What's new for 2025-2026 in Orcières-Merlette 1850
The Orcières-Merlette 1850 resort has redesigned its welcome for this season. The snow front now features a Beginner Area with a gentle 14% slope. Access is via a large covered conveyor belt, avoiding the apprehension of the first drag lifts.
To acquire the right reflexes, nothing replaces a pro's eye. We recommend lessons from ESF Orcières Merlette. Their instructors will guide you from the snow garden to the snowpark located at 2280 meters, as soon as you feel ready to go higher.
